The Bosch 0 250 202 102 Duraterm glow plug heats the combustion chamber so the diesel engine starts reliably in cold weather. A weak or burnt-out plug shows up as hard starting in winter, white smoke on start-up and rough running for the first few minutes.

Tip: always replace glow plugs as a complete set, tighten them to the specified torque and let the engine cool before removal so the cylinder head thread is not damaged. On the 2.5 TDI V6 the plugs often seize, so use a releasing agent before removal.
